Hackley Public Library, Youth Services Department. Hungry after school? Learn to make healthy afterschool snacks with Terrie Hempel educator with the Muskegon County Public Health Department. Hemingway was a "Fudgie," and I'm Glad
Hackley Public Library. As part of the "Great Michigan Read" program, presented by the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, which is featuring Ernest Hemingway's Nick Adams Stories, Hackley Public Library is sponsoring a talk by Thomas Carney. Mr. Carney will talk about the importance of Michigan in the life of Ernest Hemingway. The event is free, but please call ahead (231-722-7276) so we can arrange for enough seating. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this project do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities or Michigan Humanities Council.

KITES THAT REALLY FLY
Hackley Public Library, Youth Services Department. Make unusual kites that really fly. The kite-making workshop will include Sled Kites, Plastic Bag Kites, Flying Squirrel Kites and Origami Gliders.
