BIG EVENTS IN YOUTH SERVICES:
Talkin' Trash about the Great Lakes
2 PM Saturday, July 31
Learn ways to keep our Lakes clean. Coast Guard Auxiliary officers will present the program with fun demonstrations and audience involvement. Kids will work in teams to solve problems about water and beach pollution.
Annual Kids Flea Market
10AM - 1 PM Thursday, August 5
Kids run their own booths, selling old toys, books & games. Registration required. Rain date August 6
Morning Minnows III - Preschool Fun
11 AM Saturday, August 7
The Morning Minnow sessions feature crafts and a story or two for kids 5 and under. Today's program: "Fish and Friends." No signup required.
Gratitude Steel Band - "Jamaica Splash Family Show"
6 PM Wednesday, August 11
Steel drums and Caribbean sounds come to the Library lawn. The outdoor concert will get kids and grownups moving. The four person Gratitude Steel Band delights all ages with Reggae, "Splish Splash I Was Takin' a Bath", hand drums and more! Free admission.
Ruff Reader - “Kids Read to Dogs”
2 - 4 PM Saturday, August 28
Kids can boost reading skills and confidence at private read-aloud sessions with a trained Listener Dog. The friendly pooches are from West Michigan Therapy Dog, Inc. Children sign up for 15 minute sessions. Registration opens in August 1
