Black History Month

Throughout the month of February Hackley Public Library hosts a series of events to celebrate Black History Month.These events are brought to the community through a generous bequest from Bess Commodore.

Hackley Lecture

Charles H. Hackley Distinguished Lecture in the Humanities is an individual with a tie to Muskegon who has made a distinguished contribution to an area of the humanities is invited to present a lecture in his/her area of expertise.

Robinson Essay

The Robinson Essay Contest has been postponed to Spring 2022.

The Robinson Award is the premiere writing award for high school students in West Michigan. It is open to all high school juniors and seniors living in Muskegon County in the fields of English, history and government.
