Black History Calendar Contest

January 7-February 1

HPL’s annual calendar uses student artwork to celebrate African American achievements. Maybe you’ll draw Bessie Coleman flying her plane through the air, or Mae Jemison carrying out a mission in space.

Artists in grades 3 -12 are invited to submit drawings.  To enter, draw a picture from African American history. The best pictures will be published in a free calendar which will be available throughout Muskegon.

Click here to download an entry form or pick one up at the Library.  All submissions are due by Friday, February 1.

We’ll announce the winners at our Awards Ceremony on February 23.
